Race to the Old Swing

Uncle Mark and Charlie race Arielle to the old round swing in the tree at Gleason's Point.  I am quite sure it's the same swing that was tied to that same tree when I was a little girl.  They had to scale the huge snowdrift to make it up the hill to the tree.

First Swing of the Season

Mark gives Arielle a push on the old swing overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay.  When I was Arielle's age we had all our family picnics on the beach at Gleason's Cove.  In the summer, harbor seals will play with you in the water if you call them in.

End of the Day at the Point

It is the end of a beautiful spring day Downeast and we took a walk on the rocky beach at Gleason's Point while waiting for the rest of the family to arrive at Friendly's Restaurant for dinner.  Arielle met a new friend to throw rocks in the water with on the beach.  Quinn, her new friend, shared her fist full of potato chips with Arielle.  Quinn's family had made a fire and had a picnic lunch on the beach celebrating the first day of Spring.  When it was time to leave, Quinn's Grandfather lifted her to his shoulders for the ride back to the car.  That is exactly how Arielle decided she should get back to the car after an afternoon of exploring Downeast.
